Electric Eye Records (Project 1)
I created this project based off of one of my logos for my graphic design class. It is a made up recording studio.
I first started out coming up with an idea for the product I wanted to start designing. I did research to think of many different ideas and sketched them out. I decided to design 2 water bottle flasks and a gift bag as physical packaging. From there I created a die templates of the boxes. One tall box and the other a mid height box along with the gift bag.
Once printed out I folded them to size and I sketched out my ideas and mapped out where the logo and other graphics were going to fit. I also printed out colorized prints once all the graphics were finalized as you can see below and above.
I also used a Adobe Dimension to map out my graphics even more to give me a better idea of where everything would fit. I used 3D models of the product to give a better insight of what they would look like if they were real.
Lionheart Energy Drink (Project 2)
This is the second project that I completed for my graphic design class. This is designed around another logo which is of an energy drink.
At first I wanted to create different kinds of packaging for this project, but I had to minimize how much I was creating. I created die templates of the ideas I had and cut them out to yet again sketch my ideas of where I would want my graphics to go. After doing research and going to in to stores that had many different packages for their products. I came around the idea of designing a 4 to 6 pack cases of the drink along with a box that had a handle where you can carry the product.
After finalizing my graphics based off of my sketches I then created colorized versions of the products. I printed them and cut them out and folded them to make sure everything was lining up correctly like the way I did in the first project. I also mapped out my graphics using Adobe Dimension and created 3D models of the packaging as seen below.
For this part of the project I actually created bigger packaging for it. I scaled it up to the exact height of how the actual packaging is in real life. Again I cut them out and used cans of Pepsi and Mountain dew cans to put on the sides or insides of the packaging. Once folded up, I placed them in real areas around my house and took photos and edited them to give it that nice touch. My goal was to make this project look real as much as possible.
